Day 87

January 21, 2008

Well no LOA today but I did receive some photos of our Gideon from another family that was in Yugan to pick up their child in October. He is smiling and oh so cute! Hoping to still get our LOA this week so we can get this little guy home to his family.

God Moves Mountains!

January 19,2009

God is really the mover of mountains. Our biggest mountain has been a financial mountain. We truly stepped out in faith when the Lord called us to adopt again. He has provided the finances every step of the way. We have had multiple fundraisers, many donations and a grant. As we are going into the last leg of our journey we still needed around $10,000 with the increase in the orphanage donation, travel expenses, hotels and other fees. A month ago we received a $1000 donation, and last week we were given frequent flyer miles from our dear friends that covers 1 roundtrip ticket. This Sunday we had a dinner at our church and we raised an amazing $2692. Our church family is just amazing. They all pitched in to help buy and cook the food, help set up and serve and to clean up. I am overwhelmed with the love shown to us this weekend. Our Sunday school class collected enough money to pay the expense of buying the food for the fundraiser and an additional $100. We are so blessed to have so many friends and family who care so much! The praise songs Sunday included " If You Say Go" and "The Voice of Truth". Oh how these speak to me! The Lord told us to go and we had to have the faith and trust him as we took that step to go where he has led us. We hear so many voices telling us we are crazy or that we have no business doing this without having the money but the only voice that matters is His and we are listening. He has promised to get us there we just have to trust as he moves the mountains out of the way. We are now on day 85 of our wait for our LOA and I know we will have all the money when it comes time to go. Maybe we will hear tomorrow. It will all happen just as He has planned. I just love watching this miracle working, mountain moving God work!

Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas. We were just
missing our sweet Gideon. This was our last one without him.
